Equine Experience

Join us for a unique equine experience with one of our gentle four-legged friends.  Horses have a special calming effect, encouraging us to be present, sensitive and engaged.  Come see what a little equine time can do for you.

Hands-On Grooming Time (60 minutes) - $40/horse (maximum 2 people per horse)

Private session for an individual or a couple.  Trooper and Pigeon, our two gentle horses, are ready to share the benefits of grooming time.  Learn the art of brushing your horse, caring for their feet and braiding their mane (if time permits).  Feel your stress melt away as you get up close and personal.  Offered year-round after breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.  Two days minimum notice required; limited availability. 

Donkey Time (45 minutes) - $30/session

Dave the donkey is here for you!  He is the most cuddly and lovable donkey you will ever meet.  Spend a private session with Dave - we guarantee that Donkey Time is exactly what you need!  Offered year-round after breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.  Two days minimum notice required; limited availability. 

Farm Fun Camp - $100/child (maximum of 3 children at a time)

Fun for everyone at Windhover County!  Give your child a unique experience they won't forget!  For children aged 4+, they will participate in feeding the sheep and chickens, learn to groom their own pony, go for a pony ride, and lastly create works of art on their own "pony canvas"!  The camp is capped off by a hunt in the chicken coop for a souvenir and a farm craft activity.  Parental supervision is required for some parts of the camp.  One week minimum notice required; limited availability.  Offered May 1st to October 31st after breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

Pony Ride for Kids - $25/ride

Our Welsh pony Abby will give your child their own mini-adventure around our picturesque farm.  Each ride is approximately 20 minutes with plenty of time for photos!  Parental supervision is required and a helmet is provided.  Two days minimum notice; limited availability.  Offered May 1st to October 31st after breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

Equestrian Immersion - $50/session

For older horse-crazy kids (age 6+) who want a comprehensive introduction to horsemanship.  A 1.5 hour session full of horsey fun.  Kids learn to groom their pony/horse, and receive a private or semi-private introductory lesson on independent riding!
